Scope of Work
Static analysis, random vibration analysis, Sine sweep, shock analysis (transient response)
Summary
The component placed in the aircraft or missile will be subjected to loads like random, harmonic and shock loads during take off, cruise and landing. The effects of these loads are too complex to analyze with analytical techniques so numerical methods are required to be used before the shaker test for safe and optimized design.
Conclusions
The responses are compared with the shaker test after optimization and found to be matching (Approx.) and stresses are seems to be in limits. Responses are plotted at required locations in time and frequency domains.

Scope of Work
Mechanism analysis, Generating velocity, acceleration and tonnage curves for the link drive, structural analysis considering the dynamic loads induced In the mechanism, durability analysis, Assembly drawings and production drawings.
Summary
This is a mechanical press used to generate 800T RAM force required for the automobile industry for shaping the outer body of the automobiles. The total cycle time is to be minimized and also constant velocity to be maintained during the pressing operation. Kinematic simulation and optimization of kinematic link lengths and positions (The motor torque and forces at different joints were calculated).
Conclusions
The Drive capacity was made to 800T and Slide position (Stroke) was maintained to 802mm (approx). The results were verified after the manufacturing of the prototype. Significant weight reduction was done on the components.

Scope of Work
Thermal Flow analysis of an aviation electronic package is carried out in forced convection environment. Two configurations of the package are analyzed using flow solver.
Summary
The analysis has been carried out for different mass flow rates of cooling medium to obtain the flow field parameters like pressure and velocity and optimize the flow path and internal temperature below 600C. Finite volume method was used to analyze the flow through the package. Flow path was modified to reduce the hot spots.
Tools Used: SolidWorks flow Simulation.

Scope of Work
Impact analysis of the washing machine lid Should be performed in FEM to qualify for the practical test.
Summary
The drop test was done on the lid with the mass of 20 kg from a height of 100 mm. The geometry of the lid was imported in HyperMesh and the mid-surface was extracted. The mid-surface was meshed with quadrilateral and triangular elements to suit the explicit dynamic analysis procedure. The problem is solved for a time period of 0.116 Sec.
Conclusions
The maximum plastic deformation is found to be 1mm. The plastic strain is observed to be 0.025 that is 2.5%. The VonMises stress observed in the plastic lid is 43MPa.

Scope of Work
Non-Linear contact stress analysis of a Girth Gear
Summary
The non-linear static analysis was performed on the girth gear-pinion assembly involving bolted and welded joints. The components considered for this analysis are as shown in figure. The teeth are modeled at the gear-pinion meshing area only as the major stress concentration is expected there and at the bolt and welded joints. The gear was fixed and the torque was given to the pinion, the pretension in the bolts was also considered.
Conclusions
The Mises stress is found to be maximum at the bolts i.e. 523 MPa. The Mises stress in the pinion is found to m be 336 MPa and the F.O.S is 2.1The maximum contact stress is found to be 475 MPa and which is within the limits as allowable is 787 MPa.
