Introduction:

Quad Digital Receiver is an Antenna which is used for Defense Applications. This hardware module measures the pulse parameters of RADAR in the real time. This module is particularly suited for radar systems, where the signals must be sampled at a high rate and very high purity programmable signal generation. QDR is subjected to heat loads and Vibration environment. This product needs to be designed with an optimistic weight and should have an effective heat dissipation mechanism.

Challenges:

Design the QDR LRU to withstand all the vibration and structural loads with good factor of safety was a challenging task (Optimized weight).

Scope of Work:

Design the QDR LRU for structural and thermal loads with optimistic weight.
1)Frequency Analysis.
2) Lifting test for QDR LRU, The 2g Acceleration load was given,
3) Acceleration Analysis in Fore, Aft, Lateral left, Lateral Right, Up and Down.
4) Sine Sweep analysis between 10-500Hz with 0.5g excitation.
5) Random response analysis in three Global axes directions.

Engineering Solution:

The complete structure was designed for an endurance strength factor above 1
