This is an electronic housing rack used to mount batteries and different sensitive electronics. In this analysis, we need to test internal temperatures when all the electronic components and batteries are switched on(natural convection).
Simulating the thermal flow analysis for a large rack with many small sensitive electronic components and maintaining the temperatures below 60℃ by proper effective conduction and natural convection was a challenging task.
Scope of Work:
The thermal flow analysis was performed on the converter assembly. The assembly analyzed with Ambient Temp 30℃ and Pressure 900mbar taking forced convection and conduction into consideration.
We have achieved the internal temperatures in converter assembly below 60℃ by maintaining effective conduction and natural convection. More heat dissipating components were transferred to the upper part of the rack
